Hello bloggers, i'd like to share some tips i picked up from an article i read. it is about time saving tips to shorten your workday! don't know if you guys have already mastered your own work routine or time but for people who definitely need to learn to budget their time (like me) these 5 tips may just come in handy.
5 TIME SAVING TIPS TO SHORTEN YOUR WORKDAY:
1. Stick yourself with deadlines- It is said that you will be more productive if you assign each task a specific due time and striclty adhere to it.
2. Do the "not so fun" stuff first- deal with your most dreaded deeds right off the bat. Putting them on hold only means they’ll weigh on your mind and keep you from focusing fully on other things.
3. Avoid piling up papers - Once a letter or memo lands on your table , do something with it. If it’s a short and quick task, finish it ASAP. If it’s a bigger load, dot the first three steps to start it rolling.
4. Designate E-mail time- Allocate 10-20 minutes each day to check your electronic and voice-mail messages (work related only). In the meantime, turn off your E-mail or messages alarms so you won’t be tempted to check it every time it rings.
5. Try to end your day earlier- It doesn't mean you can cut work time. Try to end your work for that day at 4:30 and use those remaining 30 minutes to reflect and plan for tomorrow's work.
