So goes the age old question... how do you know when someone is flirting with you? Oh, im sure there are signs. A friend of mine was asking me about the signs and hints a girl gives when she likes a guy or when she is flirting with a guy? Well.... i had to ask around and i came up with a short list.
Some pscyhologists have been studying flirting behavior for more than a decade and came up with a list of identifiable flirting gestures.
1) Looking at him with darting glances. (given that she has 20/20 vision)
2) Exposing a side of her neck via head tilting. (except when she has stiff neck)
3) Gestures with an open palm. (unless she is asking for something)
4) Strutting past a guy with her shoulders back, chest out and stomach tucked in. (Be sure you are not an agent and she is not an aspiring model)
5) Contiuous hair flipping(Thats it! she is flirting with you :))

Blu Ray technology V.S. HD DVD format
so i heard that there is this on going war between two giants in the digital format industry -the die hard blu-ray group and the HD DVD format group. From my humble knowledge, i gather that the Blu-ray technology group is currently winning the race. Toshiba, a japanese conglomerate, is one of the few key players that has decided to end its production of the HD DVD players and recordrers due to loss of support from movie studios. Sony Corp. , on the other hand, is one of the recent winners due to its favoring of the Blu-ray technology. So, i guess viewers will be experiencing a new kind of digital experience for the next few years via the Blu-ray technology.
But for a tech imbecile like me, my question is "whats the difference between Blu-ray and HD DVD format anyway?"

Survivor Micronesia
Nope. i wasnt a big fan of survivor before. I remember when the very first survivor episode was aired, it became an instant hit. Suddenly, everyone was talking about it. The whole town (school) was on it and even my siblings at home were stricken with the survivor fever. Not for me, i didn't find it appealing.. bunch of people stranded on an island playing a simulated Darwin's survival of the fittest was just too boring... i'd rather go for the real thing ala Lord of the Flies style. Raw gut Raw instincts. But anyhow, i guess the survivor fever is just too infectious to contain that last two years or maybe three, i found myself watching it religiously.
Currently, I am all eyes on the 16th season Survivor Micronesia. The clincher for this season is fans v.s. favorites. Some of the favorites from previous seasons are brought back together to compete against die hard newbies who ubber idolizes them.

perfume madness
If a picture could launch a thousand ships, this scent could surely depart a gazillion tanks.
Cacharel's intoxicating and spellbinding AnaisAnais is truly an olfactory delight. Too bad, i can olny show you a photo... and you'll just have to take my word for it. Perhaps, if the net can come up with a feature that can stimulate other sense as well (hmm... talk about a site where it actually emits scents....... calling calling to all web developers out there or is there such site already???!!!!).
Your road, your walk.
Where will this peice of road end? i do not know. In fact, i do not even know where it begins? Does it matter at all? WillI understand even if I knew the facts?
From where i stand, i can see a peice of it touching nose with the calm waters of the sea. I wonder if it was an final act of bidding farewell or a salutatory greeting of welcome?
This peice of land that stretches into forever is so familiar yet i cannot fully comprehend nor remember where and when my first encounter with it began. Perhaps time will tell... ... ...

Children of Men
Children of Men. Has anyone seen this movie??
I saw it on HBO last month and i liked it. I like the concept behind the movie. The idea was ingenious i should say. It's a vision of how society will become in the future. Chaotic and apathetic. But the most salient is the inability to conceive. When i think about it, i do agree a bit that there is a possibility when human fertilization becomes a problem. Well, this is endemic in the first world regions right? Their lifestyle seemed to have altered their genetic structures. Very interesting. Whats happening around us and inside us is indeed very interesting. Global warming is gaining popularity as more people come out to talk about it. In the past 50 years maybe it was a non existent word but today its becomming a household word as the imminence of it's catastrophic effect is becoming a reality to us. Now i wonder, how about global infertility??? I wonder what turn will it take in the next 50 years or so........... but for now, the question i'd like to contemplate on is whether this phenomenon will ever be a problem here in the Philippines where fertilization is in a boom that one could exploit it as a lucrative business.
Anyway, i just want to commend the director and the person who conceive of this idea. Hats down to you.
