A Funky Pond’s experiment: Becoming Ms. Right in 7 days

I had my “total evening treat” last July 4 at the Pond’s “Taste of Beauty” party. The place was overflowing with scrumptious food and gorgeous people. It was really cool and generous of them (The Pond’s team) to set up an event like this. And it was even more generous and cool of them to announce that they are giving away an Iphone in exchange for our pond’s 7 day experience!

Being a bit skeptical of beauty products, I was naturally challenged to do this 7 day experience. I thought of ways on how I can be impartial in judging the results. After exhausting my irrational brain, it occurred to me that I can conduct my own experiment: I will apply the cream only on one side of my face and apply nothing on the other side of my face. “Perfect!” I thought. And so goes the tale of my funky Pond’s 7 days experiment. FYI, this is a bitter sweet story because I became someone’s Ms. Right in just 7 days but….

Day 1:
After rubbing the right side of my face with the Pond’s age miracle cream, I immediately noticed a fragrant smell. At work, my friends also noticed the smell and they inquired about it. I told them about my funky experiment and they thought I was crazy.

Day 2:
Again, I applied the cream on the same side of my face. I was eager to ask my friends if they see any difference. They all went ahead and got a feel of my right cheek. Some thought that my right cheek seemed smoother than my left cheek, others disagree. The sad part, however, was when my friend asked my crush to also feel my cheek of which he did, but seemed uninterested.

Day 3:
Recovering from the unflattering attention I got yesterday, I put an extra amount on. I was in a bad mood but when my friends hinted a healthier right cheek I felt positive.

Day 4:
Detecting a slight difference between my left and right cheek, I did my pond’s regimen and sought my friend’s reactions. Most of them agreed that there is a difference. My right cheek appeared clearer, fresher, and more radiant. According to them, they saw more specs of rough skin and age spots on my left cheek.

Day 5:
Today, I was so thrilled when my crush became extra nice and friendly to me. “Hmmm…. Coincidence or Pond’s miracle?” I wondered. Being extra confident, I was all smiles and charms and he seemed receptive. Inside, I was bursting with happiness.

Day 6:
Convinced that Pond’s age miracle cream does wonder, I put on more this time. During lunch break, I heard from someone that my crush has officially tagged me as Ms. Right. “Really?” my heart got a little excited. “My pond’s experience is a success. He is finally noticing me.” I thought.

Day 7:
Believing that my Pond’s miracle caught my crush’s attention, I decided to tease him a little. I went to his seat and asked him charmingly “Me, Ms. Right?” to which he replied “Ms. RIGHT, you LEFT the other side rough and dry.” OUCH! I forgot how visible the proof was.

I end up becoming my crush’s Ms. Right, although not in the way I wanted but hey I have proven that POND’S Age Miracle really works in just 7 days. My funky experiment is no failure after all. Now, all I need to do is to work on my left cheek for 7 days!
