The reason: im making a draft for my thesis but my brain is no longer functioning, ive read a gazzilion books and articles but somehow the facts don't register. HELP! the deadline for the draft is some time in may!

Give yourself a break for a day or two and just do the things you love. Then make a schedule for every chapter of your thesis. Let's say, the first week of April, you should finish chapter 1, or even chapter two. Then so on. That'll give you a sense of accomplishment. Hope this helps. =]
