Birthstone and Birth flower

Do you know your birthstone or birth flower? It was believed that the Greeks popularized these fascinating folklore about birthstones and birth flowers; that wearing one's birthstone or birthflower protects the health and bring good fortune like love and success. Kind of like Feng Shui thing here. Well, i guess each culture has their own superstitious beliefs and practices. I don't really believe in amulets or wearing of something will bring in good tidings but i do like the idea of representation (is that a crude form??) Anyway, there is nothing wrong in knowing your birthstone or birth flower. In fact in can be helpful at times. Lets say you aint got an idea for a gift, why not present someone with a bouquet of his/her birthflower or a symbol of his/her birthstone? Awesome right?
